My mate Rob gifted me a few Infinity Blisters of the same faction I had recently painted. Unlike GWS, Infinity miniatures aren't 'heroically' proportioned, so the mini's arms, legs, and joints are much slimmer, making for a relatively difficult job when it comes to assembly and modification. I've got a slot for some sort of sharpshooter in my F28 squad and what's better than a tech'ed-up Kroot??
Rather than driving myself crazy trying to make a true Infinity model, I decided to attach a plastic Kroot's head and arms to the metal Infinity model's one-piece torso and legs. I drilled and pinned the joins first - simply using three short lengths from a paperclip - then used a small pinch of greenstuff to address the resulting gaps. For the rifle, I cut off the blades, spikes, and lever, reshaped the stock, and added a magazine just to give it a slightly different look. Oh, and I bored out the barrel!
Once I completed the base - PVA, sand, and a few tiny plastic beads that are perfect alien eggs - I was done. A very quick, but effective, build. I approached the painting as per usual (see some of my recent posts) and now I've got a sniper to join Typhoon Company
