This makes it of strategic importance to the Imperium especially to the "High Guard" (the Imperial Interstellar Navy).
The economy of Brofort is overwhelmingly driven by Zuchai export, however its other eco-system centred sectors are also developed and profitable. In particular numerous bio-research, eco-tourism, exotic hunting, and delicacies trader are operate across the world.

Many of the planet's wealthier states operate medium sized space ports for passengers and cargo for transfer onto private interstellar freighters in orbit. However moving the heavy Zuchai is significantly more difficult and expensive to uplift. It poses much higher security and financial risks than direct loading exports via the Imperium's guaranteed freighters.
