A while back I went along to Last week I went along to my wargaming club's Buy, Sell and Swap last Friday night. Lots to see and I resisted temptation a number of times. I did, however, purchase some snap together model kit tanks for Paddy, Alex and Charlie and we spent the weekend building and painting. So much fun for $10 of plastic!
(This was lost in draft since April 2018!!)
Here are some shots of the lads doing their thing...

Charlie went first. His tank's camo pattern was freehanded using the
airbrush - he's becoming quite proficient with the brush, able to judge
distance and pressure quite well.
Oh yeah, our cat Victoria was also interested to lend a helping paw. |
 |
Paddy' was the second. He wanted to do a digital/square urban camo
pattern but that was beyond my skills and patience. But he did a good
job with the placement of bluetak and was very happy with the end result.
And what about that hair??????

After watching his two brothers giving it a red hot go, Alex was ultra
keen to make a tank himself. As is evident from these pictures, Alex's
favourite colour is Orange, so an orange stripped tank was a given.
He's quite dexterous and is looking forward to his next project. |
Charlie was the beneficiary of all this tanking - his two older brothers very kindly donated both their tanks to Charlies' ever growing tank-like vehicle collection. Rarely a week goes by without some massive tank battle taking place on our livingroom floor... but you know what? We all love it.
