More scatter for the Spoils

After my last few pieces of terrain, I had a bit more of a think about the use of 'Terrain Blocks" - you know what, they make a lot of sense.  With that in mind, today whilst spring cleaning my shed, I pumped out two more blocks: a large tent/cave of filth and a skeleton of a ruined building.

I've got some nice techniques going, resulting in some lovely pitted surfaces that really texture-up nicely.  I think that will do it for my terrain for the moment (unless I get some other inspiration) - next, I have to track down some more fibrous cardboard so I can get the remainder of my terrain boards underway.

I'm not overly happy with the final shape of this piece - I may blast a hole in one side or something yet... it could do with some something more.

This piece, on the other hand, worked out just as I had intended - I used lots of different colours to bring out the textures.  There's plenty of room in the interior - the footprint is ~6x4 inches - and the sniper nest is just less than 3 inches off the ground.  with all the holes and partial walls, it really fits in with the terrain block concept.  While it affords lots of cover it also can be assaulted from all sides.  It is looking a bit more chaos than I had anticipated (hence modelled by an obliging warband) and I may even ham it up some more with chains etc hanging from the rafters.

Here are a few more random shots - things I need to post to be able to re-post on some forums, boards etc.  :-)
