I'm pleased that I've managed to keep the Exarch true to the previous paint jobs and also it was pretty easy applying a few little touches to make him a tad more exciting/individual than the rank and file - using some copper metallics and gloss varnish for example. Also, the line edging on this model seemed easier... maybe I can rack up all those Dire Avengers as practice!?! It was satisfying to be able to go from start to finish so quickly (for me) as the Dire Avengers took what seemed like an eternity to complete - truth be told, it was more of a reflection on out-of-hobby stresses and pressures I think.
Now I'm heading into the holiday season, I'm packing my miniature paints away for a few weeks and will focus upon relaxing, de-stressing, enjoying my family and making the most of the warm weather - before I know it, the temperature will be heading towards 40 degrees, so I've got to make the most of it now before it gets too hot!
